Maintenance
How to take the best care of your paddle and throwing stick.
Carbon paddles
- Rinse the joint: After every trip, rinse the joint with fresh water.
- Storage: Store the paddle unassembled.
- Cleaning: Occasionally, wash the inside and outside of the joint with warm, soapy water using a toothbrush.
- Lubrication: You can lubricate the hex tube with a drop of acid-free oil, such as sewing machine oil.
Wood care
Applies to throwing sticks and older wooden paddles.
Apply the oil in thin layers to dry or damaged areas. If necessary, sand lightly with a scouring pad. Wipe off excess oil after a couple of hours.
The oil is made from bleached virgin linseed oil and carnauba wax.
